DRM stands for Digital Rights Management software which is mainly
used for inhibiting unauthorised access to OR copying of digital content files
Pros of DRM
It provides an extra protection to prevent unauthorised sharing of
any copyrighted work
It is proving to be a great feature for the author who wants full
protection of their document content etc.
However, enabling DRM will not stop all piracy. For some authors, enabling DRM in their eBooks is one way they can protect their copyrighted work.
Cons of DRM software:
If you are an authorised customer of any eBook, then also you may
be penalised due to DRM software. Suppose you are opening eBook on different
devices I.e., smartphone, computer and I pad, In that case that software assume
that you are trying to still something from eBook. It can be annoying to the
user who is paying some extra money for it subscription.
But in all we can say it is proving to be one of the great
software to blocking their unauthorised access to any e document.
